Newly developed afterglow pigments have been widely used in Japan for a lot of different applications including brand protection.

Existing well known LumiXXX® pigments are not capable to withstand high temperature needed for polyarbonate processing whereas those brand new light emitting pigments withstand 700oC thus have been used for polycarbonate’s covers of any conventional and LED luminaries including automotive lights. Even when lights are switched off - car still remains conspicuously visible in total darkness for twelve hours. No battery is needed - shell of lights emits accumulated in polycarbonate afterglow luminiscent light. Pigment which has been used for that long afterglow effect performs like a light battery without suffering any ageing.
